Venkatraman is a retired Senior Manager from Canara Bank. He was with Canara Bank for a little over 29 years and has vast experience in banking and finance. He joined Canara Bank soon after his graduation and rose up the ranks with experience across several offices including Delhi, Jaipur, Karur and Nagapattinam. His last stint at Canara Bank was with the Circle Office in Chennai where he was primarily responsible for handling sick unit rehabilitation and BIFR (Board for Industrial Finance and Reconstruction) cases for the bank.

His experience in Jaipur with the merchant banking division involved overseeing the share processing cell of the bank and foreign exchange. He managed large borrower accounts and consortium advances during his stint in Chennai and represented the bank on consortium meetings of bankers.

He was deputed to Karur as the Branch Head to manage operations related to export finances. At Nagapattinam, his experience involved managing agricultural loans and inward remittances.

Venkatraman was also involved in surprise inspections to check recoverability of loans and reviewing financial statements as part of the due diligence on clients. He has extensive experience in handling customers across various industries and continues to consult some of his former clients on matters related to export financing.

Venkatraman is known for his ability to focus his attention on details and advise based on practical business acumen. He still maintains contacts with his peers and former staff at Canara Bank some of whom still seek his advice on the professional front.
